Golf Actuator
« on: September 28, 2021, 02:07:26 pm »
Hey,

So just got my car back from the garage after it went into limp mode and they believe from the live data that the Actuator is not holding pressure as much as it needs to.

Does anyone know if you can replace this as a single component or if you need to replace the whole turbo?

Do you know if the fault is the turbo pressure sensor? If so it is available from VW its £172 but requires special tools to fit it, my local specialists charge £326 to supply and fit the actuator, Maxtreme in Wisbech Cambs, they did one a couple of weeks ago - you can get a pattern part for £100 but they will only fit genuine.
