Low oil pressure/ poor oil feed……… *** HELP ****
« on: March 21, 2022, 03:50:02 pm »
Hi all
I sent my GTI in for service, over two weeks ago !!! TWO WEEKS
Garage got in touch to tell me the oil had all gunked up inside because of all the little runs I’ve been doing to work and back, not giving it a good run…
Apparently there is now a low oil pressure problem and poor oil feed !!!!

Anyone had this ? Any ideas what it might be ……….. I’m sure it shouldn’t take two weeks to fix
I rang them today, apparently still no further forward 😩🤬🤬🤬

Pretty standard problem on these.

Did they say what the delay is?  Shouldn't take 2 weeks to drop the sump, replace the pick-up pipe and do an engine flush (or double oil change).

The oil feed lines can get clogged also, as that happened to me......along with one of the actuator rings snapping.

Got there in the end and has been running fine since.
