So the list of upgrades & replacement parts is as follows
MST Semi enclosed induction kit already fitted
Remove KO4 Turbo and fit Venom450 Ballbaring Turbo
Stag3 ECU Mapping
DSG Mapping (DSG Box had full rebuild by Milta Technology Bristol)
Upgrade existing Injectors to R-Tech Hybridised (No RS3 LPFP req)
Fit RS4 pressure sensor (Autotech HPFP internals already fitted in fuel pump)
Remove inlet manifold and perform walnut blast clean
Runner flap delete
Fit new Thermostat
Cam chain & Tensioner replacement
Oil Pick pipe replacement
VIS Balance Shaft Delete
Supply Quantum 5/40 oil (with new oil filter as well)
Fit new PCV
Check & (if req) fit new RevG DV
Fit new Oil Dip stick
Fit new Red Coli packs with red loom cover
Fit Trackslag 3.5in Full De cat pipe
Fit BCS Exhaust

Gonna initially get B6 Passat Aluminium control arms, new ball joints and Powerflex Anti lift kit fitted. Car already has 30mm Eibach lowering springs, and the ride is really nice, hence not wanting to compromise this, so will just do the above and see how things go, as the anti lift kit is essential as you well know!!!!

Good luck with the build. I would love to go stage 3 myself with either a venom430 or tte420 turbo but the waiting list for R-tech puts me off.

You don't have to wait for R-Tech.  Stealth Racing in Southam (very close to R-tech) are just as good and their wait times aren't as long.

MST Performance are a Taiwanese brand. Probably hasn't made it over to your part of the world.

Yep MST. Wanted a semi enclosed induction kit. Would have gone with a Volant kit but only available from USA and couldn’t justify the massive cost as power gains are minimal


Yeah I like the look of the Volant as well.  Most cone on a pipe type intakes liberate around 10hp on a stock engine, but with a bigger turbo or remaps the gains are even bigger.  For me it all comes down to the fitment quality and MAF scaling accuracy, which is where most kits fall short, but I reckon your setup will work well  :happy2:

I wont be waiting long!!!! I know Ben well - its not what you, you know!!!!!! :grin: :grin:
Will hopefully all be done before xmas - Only thing holding it up is the BCS exhaust which is a 4-6 week lead time, so likely car will go up to R-Tech mid November, as exhaust being sent to them direct :congrats:

I'll be honest Kev, the MST kit fitted bang on. No issues whatsoever, build quality is good, nice crackle black finish, and well made parts. Should help things with having the Trackslag 3.5in full decat, mated to the Venom450 Hybrid Ball baring turbo, with the BCS non valved sport exhaust :jumpmove: :congrats: :jumpmove:

Glad the intake fits well. You'll have to let me know what the long term trims are like once you start driving it around  :happy2:

Did you find the Track slag is pushed over into the passenger side of the transmission tunnel a bit too far?  That and the rather thin turbo flange were the only things that put me off, otherwise it looks spot on, especially the great big OEM style flexi and ultra chunky bore diameter  :happy2:

New Airtec STG2 I/C arrived today. Got this fitted with new condenser. Tomorrow i shall hopefully get the rest of the front end back together :congrats:

Re: the Slag of tracks, on my mate's car we found it was pressed quite hard up against the heat shield on the passenger side.  I mean, it fits and doesn't rub on anything but a little more clearance would be nice. At the time he got his, it was because they only did one pipe - for 4WD. They might do a FWD specific one now, not sure.

Yep that make a specific FWD version and also BCS exhaust connector. Fortunately I’m not fitting it as that is part of the R-Tech list of jobs

LOL as I said in an earlier post, if it’s anything like what TR Hamza’s was, and he had a sports cat and pap exhaust, I think Pampers will be in order. I’ve got a figure in mind as have a cheeky idea for another little subtle visual mod
