Bump stops

Been trying to research what bump stops are correct for my Ed30 and haven't had any luck at all.

I am fitting the Racing Line performance damper kit and want to replace the bump stops also. Does anyone know what ones I should be ordering?

I have ordered some already:
Fronts: 1K0412303B


Rears: 900140 SACHS or 1K0511353N




Are these correct and will they fit my shocks?

Funny, I was wondering the same thing this morning. Ordered some which were meant to be for a golf but were wildy different shape and size, I've ordered another set of the rears today which look exactly like the bottom picture you've put up (albeit not Sachs) so hoping they're the correct ones now. The picture certainly looks like the bump stops on the oem dampers now anyway.

Glad it isn’t just me struggling with these bump stops!

Hopefully these fit, I’m 95% confident they are the correct parts. I was confused though when my local parts place had completely different rears to the ones pictured.

Yeah they are the right ones.

Remember to trim the bump stops by the lowering amount, otherwise things can get harsh.

Trim the front and rears both by 30mm?

I normally trim one of the nobbles off at each end (bottom), which is approx 20mm from memory.

You will notice if you buy coilovers etc, they come with much shorter bump stops.  The standard ones are designed for standard suspension travel, so the danger is on lowered cars, you'll hit them more frequently than necessary, which can cause harshness.

It's not essential and don't do it if you're not comfortable with it, I'm just pointing out a potential issue, which is harder to rectify after the suspension is fitted.  Having said that, you can trim the rears in-situ with a stanley knife, but not the fronts.

I don't have an issue with cutting the bump stops. If it prevents harshness and there aren't other issues with cutting them, then I don't see why you wouldn't cut them.
