My boot struts are slowing up too - how much did TPS charge?

TPS selling to public -
It used to be up to the branch to choose if they wanted to do this or not, but a couple of years ago the company put in a nationwide stop on public or walk-in's - it disorganised people taking up too much time at the counter, they just want people to show up to pick up their stuff and go.
Fortunately my local branch were one of the public welcome ones.
Been using them for well over 10 years and have a great relationship with them, they take orders over the phone, they also are kind give me a discount too - even mentioned if its an emergency they would sort me as walk in.

Are you able to say where your friendly TPS branch is?

I'm happy with my Febi-Bilstein ones. I think that manufactured by Stabilus

Edinburgh - but unsure how friendly they will be now after nationwide TPS ban on selling to public or walk-ins - I had built up a relationship with them for over a decade before this change occurred.
The change was somewhat right, I have painful memories of waiting to pick up pre-ordered parts with the counter guy stuck helping some clueless person not knowing what they want / need to repair their car.

Cheers!  Some distance from me.  Wondered if it was in SE England.  There used to be a couple of branches in London that were happy to take phone orders and cash payment, but that changed after the 'orders from above' - now accounts only.

OK. Anyone looking for struts use these. These operate like OEM.  Not too stiff to close and open perfectly

Avoid SRS ones and the other ECP ones I mentioned before… they are horse sh*t.

Thanks for the heads up.. No doubt they will be slightly cheaper on carparts4less and you can collect from ECP   :happy2:
