You could broaden your options by also looking for engines from Seat, Skoda and Audi of the same vintage.

A long block from VW was around the £4000 mark last time I enquired.  That was for a K04 engine though.  K03 might be a bit less.

Already spoken to vw and was quoted over £4000 !!!!!!!!! :jumping: :jumping:

Bummer.  Well VW HQ have shrunk dealer margins drastically, so 5% discount is all they can give us now.  Thanks VW  :fighting:

What happened to the engine? Can't you get someone to rebuild it?
