Loving the mods, did you DIY the engine cover? Gotta get myself the mk6 steering wheel. Looks good, keep up the good work.  :happy2:

Very nice, I like the  "white bits" for their individuality. Engine cover ditto.

I think the rear is the darkest i could go the side rears are 25% light allowed through and front 2 are 45% light through same with sun strip the front are not legal but never had any problems with them so happy enough

yeah fair play....i wanna get them done but wouldnt risk doing the fronts, not for fear of being caught but i would stress that if in an accident insurance would void...i do reckon it does look good tho on a black car, but might look rubbish back 3 done only...hmmmm

Doing the rear 3 will look more like OE tints from factory but in the event of an accident im sure you could have the film removed. but i dont think insurers would bother to much about tints they would just ask you to pay for the tints to be covered if they even noticed

Scotland is a bit far away otherwise I would come and see you about painting mine? Do you need to use high temp paint?
Was thinking of using vinyl but not sure about the success in the engine bay?

Its not really painting it thats hard its the prep work because its an engine cover the amount of oil and grease that was on it didnt make it an easy job but hey its done now  :signLOL:
No i didnt use high temp paint tbh although the cover gets pretty hot its not warm enough to peel it off, as long as the prep work is good then you shouldnt have any problems using a decent paint system. Not sure how vinyl would stand up the glue may soften with the heat and start to peel but not 100% :happy2:

haha they dont have a tyre machine down their just had to let the tyre down to get the tape in behind it. I usually only ever break the bead on them anyway no chance of damaging the paint then
