factory head unit bluetooth issues

think my car has a factory upgraded unit as it has sat nav and bluetooth ect, has anyone had problems with the bluetooth on theres, mine sometimes saves the phone sometimes not, occasionally the phone wont find the unit but when i switch the phone off and on again it will, if i switch the car off i have to forget devise and re pair..
