I'm in a precarious situation and was wondering if anyone among you can help me, been banging my head the past few days
My RNS510 head unit is a HW : 1T0035680A and I recently updated (or tried) to 5285A josi edition.
However, each time the update crashes at HDD 4% with error 255.
After reading in other forums I've seen the fix for it was to replace the HDD. However in my case, I don't want to install my maps on the HDD as I have the DVD so I couldn't be bothered with the HDD.
So I tried editing the code in the file ECUORDER by making it #HDD, I also tried deleting the HDD related folders and the lines in Dir and ECUORDER files but when I burn in onto my DVD at x3 using imgburn / nero I keep getting error at the main screen where it searches for the SWL image.
I've the error "
SWL image found but source not verified"Can anyone explain or help me write or create a DVD/CD of a firmware that's edited ? Can it be done ?
I'm stuck with a RNS510 that doesn't play radio, CD or aux. But Nav works and other functioning works. Is there a way to fix using VAG-COM/VCDS maybe??
