I have just acquired an Edition 30, the car has been owned by a friend of mine for 4 years, but the last 2 it has not been driven,
he simply didn't have time to do anything with it, and has been meaning to sell it.. but never got round to it.
So having a had mk5 for 4 years back in 2007 and I have always had affinity for the desirable Edition 30, I made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
The car needs TLC and had gone a bit mossy and mildew inside from being left, so I have taken on the project of making it great again.
After over a year off the road, we put a new battery on it and it just started. Even better it passed the MOT, however there are few advisories
but with the price I got it for I know I can service and upgrade quite a few bit and pieces
Interestingly, this car was the subject of a VW drivers magazine article in 2007, the actual car was used to develop the superchips map.
