Rough valuation

Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out what my car is worth, roughly anyway from a basic description.
It's a 2008 pirelli edition, 77k miles, full service history, 2 owners before me. Stage 1 remap, miltek cat back, revo intake. Koni adjustable shocks with Eibach sportline springs, upgraded engine and gearbox mounts and mk7 golf r brakes.
It has the odd mark on it here and there, but a tidy car over all.
I just haven't a clue on the value of cars at the moment with the way the second hand car market is.

this is what they are being sold for regardless of mods...  sounds like a nice car

Really ? That sounds low to me after looking about, I was thinking more like 8.
We buy any car say 7500, auto trader 8200. Are they worth more or less than the edition 30 ?

I know from checking recently that a normal good condition, good spec standard gti with 100k and full service history is about 6k these days. Looking on autotrader you could possibly be looking at 9 in my opinion, could be more I'm not sure. There is a fair few going for over 10k but with a bit less miles.if in doubt though just price it high and see if you get any bites, if not then simply lower it a bit.

Yeah aim high I would, you can always lower the price if it won't sell but you can't ask for more money if you've already sold it too cheap.

edition 30s around £8k-£9k
pirelli editions around £6.5k   i wasnt just guessing theres about 10 of them for sale being advertised at the moment at this price all great condition and full service history, some full r -tec stage 2 , some standard but all around the same £6.5k

Only ones I've seen for 6.5k have around or over 130k on the clock hence the price. Others seem to be about 8-11k depending on miles and condition. Never many for sale at the same time so they will typically be a little allover the place.

With the low mileage and owners there’s no way it’s £6.5k, I’d say more like £10k.
Advertise it on the right websites like Piston Heads, even get it on some classic websites.

I’m think 10k+ in this market. Definitely 10k+ retail.

Sold my Edition 30 last Sept, I thought it was worth £8k (90k miles few mods tidy car) WBAC said 7300 until I got there...they offered 5k something lol!!) Ended up selling it to a local lad for £6500.

didnt take the mileage into account my mistake, but even so i think you will be very lucky to get over £7k, when theres edition 30s for not much more,
advertising for a price is one thing what people are willing to pay is another.
but i hope you get a good deal if you decide to sell

So the edition 30 is worth more ? That baffles me a little. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it or not, I was just starting to think I'd like an 8p rs3, so wondering how much money I'd have to borrow.
Been interesting to read all the different opinions though and I appreciate the input.

There's only 3 on Autotrader.

5 door silver, manual, 132k miles - £6,500
5 door Yellow, DSG, 80K miles - £11K
5 door black, DSG, 55K miles - £12K

If yours is a DSG, then clearly you wanting be aiming at around the £11K mark.

I wouldn't say the ED30 is worth more than a Pirelli, it's just that the ED30 is more well known, and the Pirelli's wheels and seats are a bit marmite to some people.
