Drivers door lock cover
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:25:35 pm »
Hi all
Does anyone know if you can get covers to match the colour of your car which push over the exterior drivers door lock?
Know its anal but i think it spoils the look of the handle with the stainless lock on show

I like the look of this but what happens if the remote fails? Is there another way of getting in the car :)

i used to sell these (dont anymore though before you ask ) as the MK4 golf has a major weakness which allows very easy access into the car. The MK5 doesnt have this problem as VW revised it, so these would only be a cosmetic thing... if the key fob fails, then yes.. it's a through the boot moment

Yeah but the Mk5 hasn't got a keyhole for the boot does it? So you'd be 'locked out'.

Agree about the security issue though - my wife's polo was done last month but they left my mk5 gti alone :)
