Any wallet-friendly additional negative camber upgrades?
« on: June 11, 2022, 09:44:01 pm »
I'm running TT wishbones already and lowered so running about -2.3 degrees camber on front. Adjustable top mounts would get me more negative camber when required but I've only seen ones come in at 400 quid roughly... Will the super pro adjustable ball joint add anymore than my TT ball joints on TT wishbones? Is there another option to get additional camber that I don't know about? Even if its static as I can use the ball joints to adjust I think .5 to 1 degree of camber.

SuperPro BJs more or less just replicate the TT wishbone setup don't they, so probably not much to be gained there.

Some folk have used these but I don't know how good/bad they are - https://silverproject.eu/camber-plates-domlager-for-vw-golf-mk-5-v-6-vi-r32-gti-and-audi-tt-leon/

The Ground Control ones are the best, but ridiculous money.

Hmm that's what I thought.

Yeah they don't look expensive to make so the prices of some does confuse me. Wow the silver projects one is dirt cheap... il take a look at them I think.

The Ground Controls are certainly substantial and very well made as I used to have a set.  Some of the cost is down to custom machining to make the OEM BMW spring bearing fit.  They also use decent NMB or Aurora bearings for the damper rod  :happy2:

It's because of the BMW bearing, they last for years.  Some cheaper camber plates use cr@p bearings, which need replacing in a matter of months!  I've also been down that road as well

As you can obviously tell, I defo recommend them, but £465 (via AKS) is crazy in this day and age.  They are frickin good though
