Changing front seats

Just want to check before I knock my head off...
Disconnect battery and wait 30 mins.
Disconnect connection under seats.
Undo the 4 bolts. (what size are they and are they easy to undo or need a spray a while before?)
Cheers.

Sounds about right. Do GTI seats have airbags? If so, those yellow connectors can be a bit finnicky, so don't be too shocked if you get an airbag warning light afterwards
In my old MK4, I just sprayed a bit of contact cleaner on the plugs and reconnected to shift the fault.

Hoping they come out ok and can reuse.... Maybe I'll spray them before tackling.

I took mine out to clean last year July, just used the correct spline on a half inch ratchet and they all came out no problem.
I didn't disconnect the battery though and had no issues, in hindsight I should have and would do next time.
