Take your Ed30 to a quiet open B-road, strap yourself in, open the throttle and start grinning manically (thats what i did anyway...!!)

Gasbeev,  Letting the car warm up and cool down is always good practice, although the golf has a cooling mechanism to protect carbonisation of the turbo. And also the more you tune the more you stress components so regular servicing and checks will become more important, for instance I dont think anyone on here with even a standard car is too happy leaving it 20,000 miles between servicing! But as Mackie says go and enjoy it!  :driver:

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

As already said fresh oil etc regularly and you should be fine, I never cain mine untill the temp gauge is at 90degrees but thats just my thing, and then just relax the last half mile of the journey before you switch off... i'm no expert thats just my thoughts.

I also look at it like this - my car cost 15k, 3k ish worth of mods, thousands on insurance tax and service etc ... if the turbo blows etc, i'll buy another ... its small change really in comparison to what were lashing out so enjoy it to the full everyday  :happy2: :driver:

+1. With the ED30, I stay below 2000rpm until the engine is warmed. Then it's pedal-to-the-mettle. For the last mile or half-mile, I'll go back to staying below 2000rpm.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

That's the spirit (I replaced my turbo due to cracked wastegate).

Good idea to renew plugs every 20k miles on a remapped car - Not essential but good maintenance.
