Pmoky gti:
what is the best way on mounting the footrest i bought off gulfstream?
is it to drill 3 holes into car?remove plastic footrest first?
dont fancy drilling into car, would prefer to glue it
ideas guys
thanks paul

big al:
Most people here remove the footrest and then drill it. It is only plastic, there are 3 screws around the footrest so just remove those.
When I did mine, it looked like someone had already had a go at the screws for some reason, and the one was threaded so could not be removed, so I just got 3 nice looking screws and pushed them through the plastic to keep them in. I would not worry about the 3 holes in the plastic though. I presume taping htem in place would not work due to keep moving your foot, unless it is strong tape.

Pmoky gti:
so basically take the plastic one off the car then attach the metal  to it while its off?that sound right?sounds easier that way

stealthwolf:
Which one did you buy? IIRC gulfstream did two versions, one suitable for screwing and one suitable for sticking. I chose the latter and used double-sided sticky pads.

Since application, it hasn't moved or dislodged. Still stuck down quite firmly for the last 18 months.

Pmoky gti:
got the ones with the screws
didnt even know there was a choice?
anyway gulfstream if you are reading this these are superb! :happy2: :congrats:
heres them taped up and screwed and ready to go on in car when it stops raining
