« on: September 20, 2022, 08:59:57 pm »
Can’t seem to resolve this issue . Brand new caliper …new break line …new bads & disc …this one side (drivers front) is having an issue where the pad is not using the full disc ? Any ideas on what I can try next ? Passenger side is perfect

isnt the shape of the pad generally higher and then smooths out over time to see more pad surface?    but it doesnt explain why on 1 side?

Are you running non-standard sized discs?

It look like the caliper sliding in an arc ,  is the carrier at an angle on the strut ? as said the pad will wear so the face will run parallel to the disc eventually

That sounds odd written down but it’s the only thing I can think off it being

Check the caliper is mounted straight......that there is an even gap between the disc and caliper (top L+R and bottom L+R)

Also check the hub is level and even............when you spin the wheel in the air, is it straight?

As above - have seen these where there is rust on the hub faces where the caliper carrier sits , so when bolted up it sits on the pi55.
