Might be worth taking it to VW (or VW specialist) as it could be from anywhere? Was it in your car somewhere or have you found it on the floor near/under your car?

it's not OEM - at a guess it looks like a bung to block off an opening in the inlet manifold - possibly part of flap delete?

Turns out it was the end cap for the carbon bat that sits in place of the parcel shelf lol
Well been a pricey month left rear wheel bearing went and week later both drivers side ones too just got garage to do the lot of them. Then last night a knock from the front left turned out to be the wishbone poly Bush was toast.

Alarm went off last night several times during the night car was locked all windows up anything I can check without vagcom? Heard that the sirens are bad for going but it's not done it once today
