Hesitation / loss of power issue

Hi guys, hope you’re all well.

Currently got an issue on a AAX GTI, replaced the DV to rev g & also had a replacement ecu a year ago.

All of a sudden the car is losing power at random times & in random gears. Could be driving in 4th and all of a sudden there’s no power, pedal to the floor nothing. If I change gear the boost is back. I can also been at full boost and the car begins to jerk and then settles again!

Any ideas? 🤦🏽‍♂️

Could literally be anything, so a scan tool is a must.

At a basic level, it's going to air volume (boost leak?) or fuel delivery (HPFP or LPFP?).  You need the fault codes or sensor data to steer you in the right direction, otherwise it's just guess work, which is when the parts cannon comes out and people end up firing expensive bits at a cheap problem.
