Newbie wanting to pick the guru's brains
« on: October 24, 2022, 06:15:41 pm »
First of all I know this is not in the right section but.....
Hi, I'm Ian from Newton Aycliffe and have owned my 2005 mk5 gti for about 18 months now and think it must be one of the best cars I have owned as I do not usually keep cars this long apart from my 2005 polo dune tdi which I bought for the misses.

Now to pick the brains of the guru's and hopefully someone will be able to help me out,
I know a bit about cars but this is just a bit out of my knowledge range as it is something I have never done before

I have just bought a set of highline clock for very cheap (10 quid cheap) which I would like to fit but upon doing a bit of research on here, I have found out from posted dating back to 2015 and 2011 the clock I have bought may not be able to be coded in as the are 974 out of a 2008 gti and I was wondering if anyone could maybe help with either helping me get these fitted and all in and working or maybe point me in the right direction of software and cables I may need to do it myself?

If I have done it right there should be a picture of my gti

Many thank
