Hello all. I am new to the group, but I have owned my Edition 30 a few years now.

Anyway, keeping on topic, I have a couple of questions.

I have fitted bi-xenon lights, but I noticed before fitting that the projectors looked like they were pointing down, possibly came from a car where the level sensor triggered them to point down for whatever reason? Not sure.

I have adjusted them up with the manual adjuster, but one has reached its limit. It is about right but I wouldn't mind the motors being in such a position whereby I can adjust manually up and down if I wanted to.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround? I don't fancy paying over £500 for the headlight range retrofit. For some reason Kufatec want to sell you the whole kit and not just wiring kit.

The only thing I can think of is fit my lights to a mk5 with xenons factory fitted, set them up and then fit back to my car.

Bulb recommendations? I am looking at the "Osram D2S 85V 35W +200 percent Brighter Xenarc" from Halfords, has anyone tried these and if so, are they any good? Other recommendations welcome.

Thankyou.

For the Xenon bulbs there are lots of reviews out there - actually probably too many - Night breakers always seem to be high up there in the reviews

Cant help with the wiring, possibly you could energise the adjuster motors if you can work out the pins to use, but how accurate this would be off the car is questionable.

I ended up trying the Osram +200% brighter xenarc. Took them back, they weren't very good at all, at least in my opinion anyway.

I figured I would just leave the lights where I set them up. Had them checked properly and they are set perfect, it was just that raising them the way I did also made the high beams go up way too high but I have disabled them anyway and just have the shutters for high beam.
