Mk5 golf gti engine issues

Mk5 golf gti 07 stage 2
Wondering if anyone can shed some light on my sh*tty situation please

Drove 70 miles on the motorway with no problems at all. After exiting and coming to the roundabout I could hear this ticking/tapping noise! After a couple minutes of driving the car became sluggish and EML started flashing to which the car sounded like a go kart with a sudden loss in power, presumed to be a misfire. The car was smoking slightly from the exhaust but could reach 30mph slowly.

Every time I came to a stop at a junction the car got progressively harder to get going again having to ride the clutch a lot and the car sounded worse as it went on.

As I was pulling in as I knew it was a bad idea to carry on driving the car was chucking thick white smoke from the exhaust when any revs were put on. The car lost 100 miles worth of fuel on the range in the space of 5 minutes driving.

Once the car was recovered home I checked the oil level and around the engine bay, to which I found all splatters at the rear and around my cam cover breather and there’s no clear oil level line on the dipstick and it was full at the start of my journey.

I originally thought my turbo at the start of the problem but now I’m not sure. Could it be my cam follower even though I changed it not too many miles ago??

After plugging it in to OBDII I can see all cylinders misfired along with a fuel pressure regulator 2 code.

I have attached the codes in the pictures below, TIA

I would say it sounds like a massive leak in the PCV system - letting in non-metered air, the ECU dumping fuel in to compensate for the amount of air - but the white smoke is confusing me.
I would look into where the oil sprayed out onto your intake is coming from, your bonnet may give some more clues.

how are your coolant and oil levels?

Thank you for your comment

I recently renewed my PCV less than 1k miles ago, but when I was looking in my engine bay yesterday the bottom left screw on the PCV seems to of lost it’s thread so is just spinning. I don’t know if this happened from over tightening said screw and whatever material it screws into is worn away and I just didn’t notice at the time?

I completely cleaned my dip stick and checked the level and there’s oil on it just not a clear level like like there normally would be.
