Pd170 dpf
« on: December 27, 2022, 02:36:24 pm »
So I was going to attempt to clean my dpf today I removed all parts but couldn’t wiggle it out (also snapped at flex so thought it would be easier to remove) do I need to take off the subframe to remove from underneath as all videos/tutorials never mention it or is there much on doing dpf things with a pd170 cheers  :star:

It will probably be easier with the subframe down but DPFs are horrible to remove on most cars!  Muriatic acid (swimming pool stuff) seems to be the best chemical for removing ash.

If only I had more material to research off would have dropped it out if I had the time lots of vids proved caustic soda is good then flush it out and use another chemical, since both are snapped at the flex may as well put the other one on
