Dsg problem
« on: January 11, 2023, 07:14:11 pm »
Hi all im new to this.

Im having problems with my dsg gear changes.

When driving normaly in D sometimes the gear changes from 3-4 4-5 will rev up to 4000-4500 before changing. Sometimes will down shift when it shouldnt.

In manual mode works all fine up shift or down shift.

Recently had to change the rear driver side hub and abs sensor as a fault came up. Did read that would cause the problem with the dsg. Have sorted the problem and still the same.

Car is booked in for dsg service in two weeks its on 109000 miles with no evidence of a dsg service. Could this be part of the problem or something more serious dont want to spend more money on the car if its at the end of its life lol.

Since replacing the rear hub and abs sensor car has been scanned no faults or lights on the dash. Most of the time the car drives fine just after some driving this will happen now and then.

Good luck with the fix - sounds like there may be some shifter micro switches gummed up

109k miles isn't end of life, that is unless yours has had a really miserable life.
