Before I introduce myself I want to say a huge Thank You to the forum team & contributors to this excellent forum. The information, expertise & passion for these cars is amazing and this is what has made me join up and hopefully find a good car for myself. Again, thank you to the team and everyone involved. I have also joined the other excellent UK Golf GTI Mk5 forum.
Right, As I am now early retired I am looking to buy an immaculate, very, very, low mileage, (under 40k) Mk5 Golf GTI DSG three door in Reflex Silver, Tornado Red or White and with the tartan trim. I have previously owned and have also considered some of the following cars; MINI Cooper GP R53, Renault Clio RS 172/182, BMW Z3 & Z4, Lotus & Caterham 7 etc etc I have finally decided on a Golf GTI Mk5. I do not have a budget as such and I will pay the best price for the best example. I want to buy the best I can as this will be my hobby car and I will enjoy keeping it in good original condition for when I have to pass it on in the distant future. I am hoping that one of the forum members will have one or know of one that fits the bill as above, so please get in touch if you can help and again, many thanks to the forum team and users.
