I'm new to the forum, I recently bought a mk5 Golf in dolphin grey which is my dream colour for a Golf, I really want to do some nice but tasteful upgrades to the car and one of the first things I want to do is upgrade the headlights to HID's but I know the older golfs have canbus issue's when you try to run anything other than halogen bulbs, I was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to a good HID setup and if anyone has done this and had any issue's could you possibly explain how you worked it all out, I also have the annoying issue of the 12v cigarette lighter staying on even with the key out so if theres anything plugged in it drains the battery, if anyone has gotten around this and feels like helping me out it would be greatly appreciated.
