BWA engine; limit of its G247 is 140 or 200 bar?
« on: September 19, 2023, 02:41:25 pm »
Over time I had learned the early BWA had the 140 bar G247...but some have reported their original G247 had the 200 bar sensor.

I was recently told that 'all' BWA engines have the 140 bar G247. My question in the title is to confirm if this is true.

I seem to recall seeing and reading somewhere that the BWA's G247 was changed out from 140 to 200 at or near the end of the 2006 production. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

I ask because I wish to correct this Bosch chart and not mislead anyone in the future.

*Note; I have added part numbers for one or two updated revisions, as well as "(BWA, BPY)" to the lower section following; "some FSI engines" *
