Just ticked over the 150,000 mile mark. This was the youngest, lowest mileage car I'd bought when I got it, and it's now the longest car ownership I've had, and has the highest miles.

My mileage has dropped considerably after moving house a few weeks ago to the town I work in, and I'm commuting on my bike. Hopefully this means my outlay on maintenance is going to drop a little.

This year the family and I drove to Chamonix via Reims. The golf was faultless, and we visited Switzerland and Italy on day trips from our base in Chamonix, and went back via Annecy and Chalons en Champagne on the way back. Was a great trip and it didn't miss a beat.

Congratulations!  :congrats:

I've just passed 146,000. Like you my mileage has also dropped a lot in the last couple of years with Covid and then WFH more often and just using the car less generally.

Congratulations. I just recently passed the 113,000 mile mark on the beast I bought on sca.auction https://sca.auction/locations/branch-tx-san-antonio-south-442 several years ago :drinking: Zero complaints so far!

Car-wise no, I replaced the suspension 10k ago, purely because 190k old shocks and springs aren't going to be good. Replaced the engine at 150k, not sure what happened, oil starvation somewhere, current engine (BWA) on 100k and I had the chain and tensioner done along with usual water pump, cambelt etc.

I'll be honest, other than the engine going (AXX) nothing major at all, just age-related, rear window loom, brake lines, some rust etc.

Car is standard, knocked the precat out but never had it mapped and decided to stop spending and put towards a 2014/2015 or newer that I can afford in a year or so.
