Can I place an axle stand under the control arm?
« on: February 27, 2023, 10:29:04 pm »

Up until now I've been trying to squeeze the trolley jack and axle stand on to the pinch weld when jacking up the front of the car.

Is it okay/better to put the trolley jack on the pinch weld, and then place the axle stand under the control arm?

I think it's called the control arm. I've drawn an arrow anyway to show what I mean. It looks sturdy and has a nice shape for sitting on the axle stand.

Yes that's where most stick the axle stand. Don't stick it on the actual control arm but the alloy console you've pointed to is fine.
