Mk70 ABS unit upgrade for white cluster install
« on: January 09, 2018, 08:28:38 am »
I need some help please.

To replace my half MFD red cluster with a white one I need to also replace my ABS controller

My car had a MK70 ABS unit consiting of a 1K0 907 379 P ABS controller with 1K0 614 117 H ABS module.

Coding was 0017025

(No TPMS and standard suspension)

I tried replacing with a unit from a Caddy but the brake lines was different so I ended up putting the Caddy controller (1K0 907 379 AF) onto my ABS module but couldnt get the coding correct.

On my cluster, both ABS and ASR lights are on

Current Coding is 16641 (it didnt want to accept 0017025 even if the values from 404 Not Found) adds up to that)

and error code is

01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

003 - Mechanical Failure

Can anyone please help even if it means getting yet another ABS unit that will work?

Thanks

Your pump is older revision.
Short coding (so about 6 numbers long)

New pump in newer revision
Different pipe thread sizes M10 / M12 as you say
Long coding (about 30 numbers long)
Same plug but wires are different - need to swap wires

regarding pump revision - R to AC should be straight swap
but do your homework - depends if 2WD or 4WD, as they not the same.
Mine is 4WD, and R which works on colour clocks.  R won't work in 2wd though

Thanks Ady. I had an AC version from a GTi but its a MK60 with ESP so wire connectors are different.

Eddie-NL told me to move wire 25 to 15 so trying to find pinouts so I can see what the change is.

Hey Ady, very late to this post..

Looking for advice if my ABS Pump works with colour clocks, currently have a 1K0 907 379AC installed into the car. I'm planning to install a 3D Scirocco cluster
