Pirelli Edition stage 2+ build - 09Pirelli
09Pirelli:
I installed my VIS high pressure fuel pump and while the pump was off I did the 5mm banjo mod for more flow, this is a nice mod for anyone wanting to lower the duty cycle on there lpfp for for performance.
09Pirelli:
Next do do was the VIS balance shaft delete, fairly straightforward was a it of a pain to tighten everything up but otherwise only took a hole day 💀. I also did a fresh service as it was about time at this stage, after this install I did notice the rpm climb a bit quicker, and the car vibrated a little bit more but you can’t really tell once you get used to it.
09Pirelli:
A little break from performance side of things and I managed to get myself this super rare diffuser from ingo noak, took me a while to get this as I can’t read German and there side is in German they also don’t ship here so I had to get it form a Norwegian tuning company, car looks so sick with it and I also install a kill all I
Wiper kit for a sleek back look.
09Pirelli:
It was time for a carbon clean so I got all the new gaskets and brass brushes I needed and went to work, took about an hour and a half to take the manifold off, I fortunately did not have the dreaded Satan bolt so the intake was off in no time, I spent the rest of the day cleaning the valves. My valves weren’t to bad actually just a little build up in the middle but very easy to clean just time consuming.
09Pirelli:
While the manifold was off I installed my RS4 FRV and runner flap delete, these were straight forward installs, I fully removed the motor for the runner flaps to save weight. When the car was all back together I noticed a different induction noise and little burbles from the car. Start up’s weren’t bad it was on the colder side in the mornings I just let it settle for a bit longer but apart from that no major problems not even a fault code.
