Dripping noise after a spirited drive.

Evening ladies and gentlemen. Just filled up the GTI and took her for a good old drive with a friend Pulled up after a while and noticed a constant deep dripping noise from the fuel tank, with the engine turned off. Any ideas what it could be?

As above, should be just the fuel return.

Maybe the sound of the exhaust pipework cooling down? The '32 makes a lot of 'ting...tingtingting..ting' noises after a blast

Fuel return . Didn't notice mine until about 3 weeks after the air went on.

I get this. When i open the fuel cap the pressure releases and noise stops.

Same on mine today. Any solution? It stoped after open the fuel tank cap and I hear a aspiration noise during a second.
It can be the canister?

To resurrect…
My car is doing exactly this. I understand the logic of fuel return and how fuel systems work… but I have never owned a car that makes this much noise and it would surprise me if VW designed them that way.
Is there a vent or something somewhere that could be blocked? So the bubbling noise is air going up the return line or something like that?

I replaced the canister for an ORIGINAL VW part and still have the same noise, it seems that it's easier to notice that once the ambient temp is higher.
