At least you've got a boost gauge to confirm you have a leak somewhere

I need to get one sorted - I'll let you know what my guy says tomorrow and hopefully you can check that at your end

Looks like we have the same issue though

Hi Mate
Here’s what my guy says:

I’ve removed the plugs, coil pack 1 was seized in place and the plugs are all burnt, it’s also flashing the eml light is giving some indication of injectors failing.

At top end of rev range it sounds basically fkd, sounding like it wants a turbo but gonna look further into it once I’ve dropped the oil and checked condition of oil etc

He also said that the  engines absolutely blathered in oil, think rocker cover gasket has had its days tbh as there’s oils all in the plug holes too. I’m gonna compression test it too just to make sure there’s no damage to the engine especially given how it sounds.

This may be the end of my Eddy!!

Oh man so apart from plugs and coil packs you needing a turbo too.
Maybe it's an excuse to go hybrid or k04.
Hopefully don't cost you a bomb.
There's a few more toots I want to investigate befor I fully give up and call my insurance telling them I woke up and it was gone lol. (That's a joke for all you male Karen's)
Il keep this updated to what I find. If not for others amusement in our misfortunes but maybe it will help someone at some point.

HAHAHAHA I feel like burning it.

Got a new update!!!

It's not the turbo, my inlet manifold has broken and it's fallen into the engine.
Also EML flashing on/off which indicates the injectors are failing, gonna take them out and test them as we do the manifold
Apparently the car's got the runner flap delete, which I haven't done.

Correct, the leak is from the inlet manifold.

I noticed a bit of a rattle noise around 4-5k, that was the pieces of manifold flapping about!

I'll add photos as my guy sends me them.

So after another inspection I may have found the problem or atheist part of it.
It's the turboactuator where it connects to the wastegate it has snapped.

Ah, that's your Actuator adjustable link end.

Easy replacement I'm sure, so your wastegate has been stuck open?

I've found a 2nd hand manifold from a breakers for 40 quid, injectors were caked so replacing them. Think we're good to go after that :)

Yeah looking for a replacement now.
Well done on the manifold maybe do a runner flap delete while you can to avoid any future problem I have been told they can be common so I deleted mine.
