Golf Gti Mk5 Front Passenger Wing LA7T
« on: July 04, 2023, 11:28:23 pm »
Hi
New to this forum and looking for some advice.
I have a Golf Gti Mk5 2005 ( colour LA7T ) and looking to replace the front passenger side wing as mine has rust.
Ideally looking for a genuine wing but have no idea where to get one.
Would a VW dealer supply and fit one in the above colour?
Any suggestions or additional feedback would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks

Hi,

Not sure about the genuine wings but I know alot of people including myself has used lothian auto parts on ebay for replacement wings, fitment on mine is good and colour match is spot on.

Can either buy them unpainted or give them your paint code, here's a link to their ebay store incase you can't find any genuine wings: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/lothianautoparts01506811367?_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2563

I would second what Dave said, i just got a pair in LC9Z and the fit was good and colour match was spot on too. Not genuine wings but for the money very very good indeed. Part of my old job was as a vehicle appraiser and i have a good eye for sh*t paint and poor panels but these were fabulous. If you are going to keep it long term and its a trailer queen then genuine is the way to go, for my needs the Lothian ones were perfect

I've used Lothian in the past on a couple of cars and have been very happy with them.

Sure you can pay a bodyshop to fit new genuine wings and paint the whole front end, but for most of our cars that just doesn't make financial sense. Show cars, sure, but not the other 99+%.
