Throttle body pipe removal

Went to have a go at carbon cleaning the intake valves today but got stuck on removing the big rubber pipe from the throttle body.

I removed all the brackets holding the entire pipe on and unscrewed the hose clamp,  but I couldn't get the rubber pipe to budge off of the throttle body. It seems a bit stuck on and it's hard to get my hands around it due to all the extra piping getting in the way thanks to the diverter valve being at the front on the Edition 30.

I put it all back together but really want to have another go.

Any tips for getting a crusty old throttle body pipe off?

So you've removed the black boost pipe that connects to the TB hose yeah? If so I got mine off with a pair of pliers or grips and pulling downwards. Use a pick to to get under neath the seal too to break the hold.

I've got a forge TB hose on mine now which goes on and off super easy. Oem hoses are great functionally but not fun when taking on and off sometimes.

Yep removed the boost pipe too.

Thanks, I'll guess I'll just have to give it another go and be more aggressive with it. Maybe if I got an aftermarket pipe to replace it with I wouldn't be so gentle for fear of breaking it. I was just trying to get in there with a pick and pushing down with my hand. I'll try pliers.

when i did mine this was a bit of a struggle, but just keep pulling and twisting and it will come off, i yanked on it pretty hard and mine didn't break
