Fan constantly on
« on: August 22, 2023, 03:46:53 pm »
Afternoon all,

Hoping someone might shed some light on my issue.

About a year ago my Rad Fan stays constantly on when the ignition is on. I put this down to a faulty thermostat and therefore waited until it was Cam belt time.

Fast forward to today.

Cam belt has just been done / Water pump done / Thermostat done. yet the fan is still constantly on. My Mech stuck it on diags and saw there were errors on the temp sensors near the termostat and the gearbox. He has replaced these, faults cleared and still the fan is on.

Has or does anyone have any experience on this issue? is this a short? dodgy relay? broken wire?

Any help is most appreciated.

Thanks all

Got this issue too, found it was wires issues. Fault cleared, fans still turn on oddly a lot

Check....

1) the big fat fuses on the engine bay fuse board.
2) both fans are spinning.

If one fan fails, the other runs permanently as a fail safe.
