Evening folks
Car recently wouldn’t start whilst out and so called RAC. He tried jumping starting it, but no joy. He seemed perplexed as he seemed to think both the Starter Motor AND Solenoid were defective when it’s usually one or the other……
He shorted it across somewhere and got it started and I drove it to a garage to get Complete Starter Motor replaced. When I picked the car up, mechanic told me Brake Lights were staying on (they weren’t when I delivered it - as wife had followed me to the garage to drive me home).
When I got to the car - it started ok but I noticed the glow plug light kept flashing
I’ve read some of the trouble shooting on the brake light staying on issue and have completed the following
Brake Pedal Switch - replaced
Engine Bay Fuses. - checked with non blown
I’ve had the fault codes read - appreciate some maybe historical (see attached)
