Fitted Ramair intake and now get P0171 code
« on: September 16, 2022, 09:09:51 am »
Hi Everyone,

I’ve got a 2007 MK5 gti and decided to fit a Ramair intake for a bit extra noise, since fitting my car has thrown up the fault code above and if I delete it it’s usually back in a day or two, I’m assuming the car is getting too much air, would a remap solve this or am I better off putting it back to stock?

Thanks for any advice

James

That will be MAF or air leak related.  I guess you need to retrace your steps and make sure everything is connected and there are no air leaks.

Hi mate I’ve recently had a ram air fitted also and a stage 1 map, since then I’ve had the same code arrise and the feeling of lack of power, did you manage to figure out the issue and if so what was the cause, thanks
