« on: November 05, 2023, 01:30:57 pm »
Hi folks , what psi should a mapped gti be at my readings are saying roughly 11 to 12 psi thought it would be more than this. Car feels quick and is side by side with my mates mk3 focus rs on a roll

Took these from torque app not sure how accurate it is

Stage 2 (Sports Cat, Intake) on the stock K03 turbo peaks at 16psi in 3rd and 14psi in 4th & 5th. Numbers taken directly from a VCDS log.

Either yours is stock or slightly mapped but I'd bet on the former.

A good way to check if it's mapped is to log Torque (NM) and then do an online conversion with the given RPM at that moment to check the HP. If it peaks above 210 (or 240 for ED30 GTI) then it's definitely mapped.

Just did a pull 3rd gear to redline strange that it's saying bhp is 280odd but boost is just over 10psi

Is there anyway to check the RPM when you hit that second Torque peak? Something seems off, you MAF intake peaks around 175g/s, to be anywhere near 280hp you'd need above 200g/s.
