annoying noise in the engine
« on: November 06, 2023, 08:39:46 am »

I don't want to extend too much. I have been changing the timing belt on my GTI Mk5 since December 2022 with a very annoying noise. I've taken it to VW and a couple other shops and they don't know what to tell me. I don't know if I could send you a video so you can tell me what. Apart from the fact that the idle speed does strange things to me.

I don't know how I can post a video but if anyone knows what noise it could be... Let's see if on Thursday when I install tires+rubber+suspensions, if they hear the noise they know what it could be...

Upload the video to YouTube, and just post the link here and we can have a listen

I don't think the bot could be bothered in the end

Wouldn't be jumping to conclusions that it's a bot, maybe someone who's not so technologically literate not realising the forum won't auto notify them of responses. Or their "tires+rubber+suspensions" fixed the issue perhaps.

Personally I don't mind if I help someone and they don't reply, all that matters to me is that they can get their problem fixed
