new motor? i thought it was a sensor something to do with aligning fuel flap things. i`m not a mech so have no clue really. I`ve spent a mint on it so need to keep things cheap. For now.

if your car was showing faults before a map then you should get those sorted 1st IMO, no matter the cost as any "fault" could only be made worse by asking your engine to do more. Maybe do some googling into that error code, post up on here if anyone has had it in the past.

thanks for all the help.
Does anyone know from the graph info if my car is actually 204.5 or more. i`m confused.

As others have said you'll get a better and more repeatable power run on Dyno Dynamics rolling roads.  JKM, again as already said, is not far from Southampton and would certainly be worth a visit.

Oh and it's not anything to do with being a newbie - People will normally post here if they have something valuable to bring to the party.

The intake manifold runner controls flaps that cause the air-fuel mixture to 'tumble' into the cylinders. This improves low end torque and can make the car feel a little flat.
Doing basic settings via VCDS is the only way to make the fault go and may help your problem.

Quite often the cure is a new flap motor.

I have spoke to them and they are really helpful and willing to do another one free with a rolling road to check. not to keen on keep putting it on RR though. Should torque be more as well. ? Regal southampton

Regals rollers tend to over read from when i was on theres last.

Sounds like you may have a boost problem or map thats not actually installed ??

As has been said, take the car to JKM in portsmouth. They are the TFSI masters :happy2:

have a look at two cars plots here

http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/GalleryGTI041008.htm

one std K03 (white) and one REVO stg1 (grey)

in fact your hp seems not too bad.
torque is way down though.

you need to get some logging done on your boost levels etc.

how would i go about getting my boost level logged? would a boost gauge help what psi should it be?

also i have looked at jkm graphs i`m starting to wounder if they actually carried out the remap or could it be a case of the remap didn`t go on my ecu properly.

I`m not a mech but i`m starting to think the remap hasn`t worked as i have no cat and a kn fitted maybe the bhp is 204.5 due to this. torque looks pretty standard to.

let me know if i`m wrong.

having new dv fitted this sat so that should help. i hope. :happy2:

I would see how the dump valve fitting goes then get it back on the RR - maybe email GIAC directly see what they have to say.

HI well  all new parts fitted dv and manifold motor. went to regal and had a rr now 258.8 bhp and 295lbs torque. well happy :P

Apparently the bloke who rr it before didn`t turn traction control off properly.
I thought you pressed the button and when the car/skid marks shows up on dash that was it. BUT apparently for rr you have to turn it off once over 50mph?
Any one have any more info on this would be helpful

Thanks
