As above, if it felt like that immediately after a belt change, it needs to go back to recheck the timing. Nothing else would cause that fault code except a failed VVT adjuster or solenoid, which isn't common.
Just speculating, but maybe they ignored the timing marks and just paint dotted the old belt, cut it off and slipped a new one on. The engine needs to rotated by hand 4 times and verify the timing marks still line up before buttoning it back up.
