Hello Everyone,
I'm having an issue with my car not communicating with the rear doors. I believe it may be a communication issue between the Central Conv, CAN GW and Central Elec. Previous to this, my rear door's never locked since I had the car so I had to manually lock them. I thought I'd purchase some doors from a breaker due to my old ones having scratches and dents and the old ones were not working. So after installing them I'm still in the predicament of the doors not working. I recently installed new actuators on the rear doors, they did show some connection for a short time period when opening and closing the windows but shortly stopped. I've been looking online and I have seen some threads
https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=24735.0 and read some other areas, my worry is that I've taken some doors that are not compatible with the CECM as they were from a breaker (My car is a 2005 AXX). I'm sure I have incompatible CECM, BCM & CAN GW. However, I would like to update these so I can keep upgrading the interior and have my doors lock without issue. Other than purchasing the BCM (3C8937049AB), do I need to also purchase an updated CECM (1K0959433CB) or am I overthinking all of this.
