GTI MK5 K04 Conversion Woosh
« on: February 15, 2024, 11:14:16 pm »
Hi all have a Golf GTI MK5 Full K04 conversion stage 2+ and everytime under accelleration I can hear a woosh sound if that makes any sense just before the gfb dv+ kicks in. I have the latest pcv revision r and revision g dv. It seemed to of started when the toyosports fmic was fitted.

All that boost has to go somewhere when you back off the gas. Assume you have a sponge on a pipe type intake kit?

Hi yes of course.  Come to think of it the turbo that came with the kit has an anti surge core upgrade.  So I presume its that.

Yeah anti surge housings are noisier than plain ones.  That's why VW fitted a noise reducing muffler to the turbos
