Time for new rubber running 345bhp
« on: January 28, 2024, 11:22:05 pm »
Have a Gti mk5 stage 2+ running 345bhp.  It's time to buy some rubber.  What's best on the market for running this sort of power?  Was looking at the Continental Sport Contact 7.

thanks

The sport 7 did well in the most recent Evo tyre test though I don’t think you would be unhappy with the F1 super sport. I just had a set fitted for £475.

The ContiSport 7 all day long.  Epic tyres.  F1 SuperSport would be my second choice, PS4S 3rd choice.

You will still have issues with that much power through the front wheels though as they are road tyres. You may need a semi slick track tyre (but with sh1t lifespan and sh1t cold/wet grip) if you want all the beans deployed all of the time in the dry.
