it was your 30-70 that had me interested...    

3.3 seconds isn't the best I've managed so far.

When I was fiddling about with boost settings I found a setting that had mind bending mid-range, but killed the top end completely.

3.1 seconds 30-70!

Finally, finally made it (on the private drive!!)

Flat, with a slight kink and a very slight uphill end bit.

John I think I know the bit of road you're on about in Sheffield. Used to go down there as a kid on my skateboard.


 

In all seriousness mate that's an awesome achievement in any FWD car. Especially in as good an all rounder as the Golf is (although i'm not sure yours is quite as versatile anymore..  ).

There is a "private"road like that around here and I've logged it at 3.7 seconds to 60mph and 8.5 to 100mph

but there would have been a big rat smelling badly in the corner if I'd tried to claim it

You're cheating with the DSG you don't have to change gears  . .. Have to say you're right about the K04, it's the best mod i have done to my car. Power comes in low like a diesel and stays there until past the redline
