Front Wiper Issue
« on: March 06, 2024, 09:45:01 am »
Hi, i've got auto wipers and the front wipers have stopped working on the first setting (1 notch up). The other settings work fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Check there is no obstruction to the rain sensor (bird poo etc) could be rain sensor itself test with water spray bottle.

Hi mate thanks for the reply. No obstructions i can see. Perhaps i didn't explain it too well though... usually when i turn the wiper on manually (up one click from off postion) it will do at least one wipe regardless if the screen is wet or not. Now it does not.

Possibly being thick here but is it only the first click that is the rain sensor? And then others are just set speed? If so as you say could be the sensor is knackered.

Could be rain sensor or the stalk itself, do you have vcds to check for codes?

I've got ODB11 so will give it a scan and see if it comes up with anything. Thanks
