Standard Intake Options?
«

Hey all,
I have a Creations Motor Sport CAI induction kit on my KO4 BWA engine and its starting to annoy me... maybe im getting old
Its a 90mm tube with foam filter and the constant induction noise is wearing thin.
I want to go to something quieter, preferably with a paper filter, that'll still breathe enough for 300+bhp.
I'm really not a fan of the standard mk5 engine cover/filter set-up so what other options have I got?
Cheers

I had made a custom intake using a BMC CDA filter
https://www.demon-tweeks.com/bmc-cda-carbon-dynamic-airbox-241365/?sku=BMCCDA85-150&istCompanyId=a2904180-3a7d-4e56-b876-cf81c9512180&istFeedId=6fbc4b04-fd28-4ce1-8513-835c8f118690&istItemId=wptilaxli&istBid=t&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvb-zBhCmARIsAAfUI2ui1wL4WgE-2Kulm1Ip_pSR2DFSmI44jpTZeKqmtRwrwT-6tB3XyJ4aAr2nEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
It is a lot quieter than an open CAI.
I then just reverted back to the original engine cover/filter setup

The BMC CDA is a good option, good filters those and not too noisy.
The stock intake is not a restriction until 300hp anyway, so is fine for most Stage 1 - 2 tunes, but if you want quiet, that is the quietest option.
