Boost Problem
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:59:43 pm »
Guys please help, Ive had a revo stage 1 on my gti since xmas now and never had any bother till today! It doesnt feel like its boosting near the same as it was the day i got it mapped, i drive the car everyday and havent noticed this until today. Also it used to be quite loud when u let of the throttle but again today ive noticed its alot quieter, could this be something todo with a diverter valve or summit? ive read that the o.e ones arent not really fit for a car with a remap?

I have a switchable GIAC flashloader and when in 305bhp mode the power is intermittent, like the car decides when to pull, not me.

Stock mode is better but it still feels a bit moody, so I bought the new revision D diverter valve as I hear the original version has a tendency to split under increased boost.

If it's not that it's the clutch  :sad1:

funny ya say that, cause today when in 5th gear an it hit 3k revs it shoots upto 4k revs then back down. similar to clutch slip! But only seemed todo it at them revs!! Strange!

yeh fitted myself, wasnt too much hassle, i took the drivers side wheel off gave me a bit more room to get in. The cap screws arent the easiest to get into thou!   :drinking:
