AC not working

I have a 2005 MK5 GTI, I changed the AC compressor, ac pressure switch and refilled the gas but warm is coming out of vents. The car does not have AC button but has an ECON button instead. Checked for any fault codes found out 00898 - Control Circuit A/C Compressor: Short to Ground. What can that mean any help need to sort this out as it’s boiling in the car.
